The "Keystone Pattern" - Work and Ministry

To be happy, healthy, balanced and fully productive, most people need both a work side and a ministry side of their lives, both a for-profit side and a charitable side of what they do.  This pattern of work and ministry can be represented by the ancient architectural technique of a stone archway of two sides meeting at the top center at a 'keystone'.

'A keystone is the wedge-shaped stone piece at the apex of a masonry vault or arch, which is the final piece placed during construction and locks all the stones into position, allowing the arch to bear weight.  The term is used figuratively to refer to the central supporting element of a larger structure, such as a theory or an organization, without which the whole structure would collapse.'

Our church, Keystone Church & Ministries, encourages and seeks to help it's members and the community to apply this pattern and principal.

The 'keystone' is faith ….from which solutions and effective charitable work flows and also fulfilling, profitable work and careers are accomplished.

And obviously, ones for-profit work provides the time and resources to support ones charitable work.

The work and ministry of Perry Babb are an example of this principle applied.  Mr. Babb owns several for-profit corporations and is engaged in a variety of business enterprises.  Mr. Babb's companies are the sole property of he and his family and partners and are absolutely separate corporations and entities from Keystone Church and Ministries and any other of Mr. Babb's not-for-profit efforts.   Mr. Babb, his business management staff or accountant would be happy to answer reasonable and professional questions related to his work and ministry endeavors.   Also, the nonprofit corporations depicted have trustee boards and/or boards of directors as required by law and/or their specific bylaws.  Mr. Babb receives no salary or compensation from these non-profit corporations.
